Eric Waters is a saxophonist from Poughkeepsie, New York, known for his expressive sound and thoughtful improvisation. A graduate of the Crane School of Music, Eric is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Jazz Performance at SUNY Purchase, where he continues to refine his craft among some of the region’s most forward-thinking musicians.
Throughout his education, Eric has studied with renowned teachers like Ryan Devlin and Kevin Bene, who have helped shape his approach to both technique and creativity.
Rooted in tradition yet always exploring new ground, Eric has performed in a wide range of ensembles—from jazz combos and big bands to chamber groups and pit orchestras. His playing reflects a deep respect for the jazz lineage while embracing modern influences and personal storytelling.
Whether on stage or in the studio, Eric brings a focused, soulful energy to every performance.
